Coconut coir product will save your back and maybe the world!

We are nuts about coconuts!

Coconuts?

Yes, finely shredded coconut shells offer all the water absorption benefits of peat moss, but in a lightweight, won’t-break-your-back-to-carry, easy-to-fit-in-your-car, even-has-a-handle packaging. Coir (the technical term for shredded coconut shell) expands with water and unlike traditional peat moss, coir is a renewable resource. In fact, coir is a bi-product of the edible coconut industry, so it saves those shells from a garbage dump or landfill.

The coir product is called Peat Eliminator and it comes in a small, lightweight brick. You wet it down the same way you would Peat Moss and this small package absorbs water and fills an entire wheelbarrow! Then you add it to your garden when you are planting or anytime to improve your soil.
